Sadly that doesn't work - who lives where? Chap who sits in front of me at home games travels from Swindon every game. And giving more points for aways like Europe just pushes some even higher up the list.

It's a really difficult thing to get right - and to be honest, I'm not sure there is a 'right'. The argument has been going on forever with England (two points for home or away).

18 is pretty small beer to be honest. I have got 10 points and haven't been to an away match in years. (Time, money and responsibility constraints etc.)

And while I agree in principle that points might be on a sliding scale the correct point has been already made that a lot of people buy tickets to get their points up and don't end up going. Until that issue is solved it will never be fair. Much cheaper to "go" away than attend a home match.

Well the additional tickets haven’t gone to club London season ticket holders I’m in the ballot with 320 others

not sure whether you were trying to make a dig or a point there?

I haven't said those with higher points shouldn't get tickets for the final, I'm just interested to see how that 9k would spread across those with PP.

Anyone missing out on 54 points means they have missed 28 away games in the last 4 years of matches played with a crowd.

So don’t moan as you are obviously not dedicated enough 😄

Re: Frankfurt away
18 points is about 5 away games in 4 years (assuming they also purchase home cup games).

agreed - it makes me pretty nervous for the final, should we get there. We have been working hard to get our points up where possible and have managed to get Norwich on the ballot. Leaving our group on about 18 points each.

If we get circa 9,000 for the final, the club will nab 1,000ish (unless they get corporate/sponser ticket allowance from UEFA,but I'm sure they will want more!)

Was hoping for an outside chance in the away end, but not getting hopes up now. Fingers crossed for the neutrals ballot!

Agree in regards to point levels, anything over three-hour travel on a non-Saturday game should be 2 points, Europe away 3 points.

Re: Frankfurt away
Something doesn't add up with the tickets. Lyon went down to 20 points and this goes to 55??

2400 fans with 55 points and all going out there seems high to me.

Would like to see the ticket office come out and give a breakdown of the allocation.

Something fishy has defo gone on....

Re: Frankfurt away
Fonz,

You’ll only get people buying tickets for those harder fixtures with absolutely no intention of going to the game. Just getting the tickets for priority points.

Niblets 12:14 Tue Apr 26
Re: Frankfurt away
You also shouldn't get any points for home cup games.

Re: Frankfurt away
Bloody hell that sold out high, especially considering the others went down to 20 odd.

They will do the final exactly the same way (if we get there) as its the only fair way to do it! What i think needs to change is that you shouldnt get 1 point for going to Zagreb and one for going to Chelsea.

They should allocate more points for the harder away days like a Burnely away mid week etc

Niblets 12:04 Tue Apr 26
Re: Frankfurt away
Final should be done on priority for those who have travelled previously if we get there.

Same here,I've well missed out on 30 points as sold out on 55

Re: Frankfurt away
I am genuinely gutted at this.

Had tickets for every other EL match including Zagreb and all the ones that most people on really high points didn't want to attend.

And now I can't get a ticket for this. I know there probably isn't a fairer way to do it but having got tickets to every match so far, missing this is gutting.

Having booked some accomodation with no realistic hope of a ticket I was thinking of driving over but not on my own espeically as coming down from the midlands too.
Is anyone driving or fancies sharing the driving etc?

How do you know that?

Re: Frankfurt away
I’m going but not looking great on the ticket front been every away game either in the home end or blagged a ticket. I’ve got fuck all points so no chance of getting one through the club and looks unlikely I’ll be able to get one in the home end so blagging is looking like the only avenue

Niblets 8:36 Mon Apr 25

Less than 100 tickets left.
